Cryptic Triptych
Third Panel -- Right
In the final panel, the archetypal content of Infinity has undergone change via the DX. A city emerges as a testament to the free creativity granted top humanity by Infinity. The city is rendered in a surreal motif to remain consistent with the dream.
Of note are the three stages in the lower center of the drawing. Augustine uses these stages to depict the subterranean world of the unconscious. In this underworld, the invisibles labor to produce and act out those dramas that will later be played out in waking and dream life of humanity. In this sense, our individual world of waking and sleeping -- our own soul -- remains connected to the mysterious depths from which it sprang.
Spiritual practice seeks to understand the associative logic of dreams and the other depth processes of life. These processes do not always conform to the cultural notions of human normality. And why would they? Why would Infinity create a Universe for the sake of having a world of pure normalcy? That would be dull, even pathological.
