The drawings in this triptych date from 1987. They are fading and dirty due to improper storage.

In this first panel, Augustine attempts to capture a scene from a dream. The dream in question occurred within Infinity prior to the appearance of our Universe. In the dream, certain archetypal objects of our Universe are being imagined.  The suggestion is of the perfect Platonic forms of both the sacred and the scientific.

The stars represent those literal stars that would be cast across our Universe in the zodical array as reminders to humanity that the invisibles and fate play a role in the mystery of human character and destiny.

During this period in 1987, Augustine says the spiritual Universe seemed unusually opaque to him and that he was able to access very subtle dimensions of consciousness. This triptych has never before been seen by the public. Augustine considered it to be too esoteric and worried that it would be misunderstood.
